Itinerary (17 days)
Arrival at Tashkent International Airport. Meet and greet by your driver and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and time to rest. In the afternoon, a first discovery of the Uzbek capital—a city of contrasts where Islamic heritage and Soviet modernity stand side by side. Visit the Barakhan Madrasa and the Hasti-Imam Complex, which houses one of the oldest copies of the Quran in the world: the Othman Manuscript, dating from the 7th century. Plunge into the bustle of Chorsu Bazaar, a vast covered market beneath a turquoise dome piled high with spices, dried fruits, golden flatbreads and embroidered suzanis. Visit the Kukaldash Madrasa (16th century), the Museum of the History of the Uzbek People and Independence Square. Discover the Tashkent Metro, whose lavishly decorated stations are considered among the most beautiful in the world. Lunch and dinner in the city. Overnight at the hotel in Tashkent.
